el.e.men’tal Idaho is a collaborative production of Radio Boise and the Idaho Council on Industry and the Environment. ICIE is a non-profit, non-partisan group formed in 1989 to focus discussion of the environment on the facts. ICIE’s goal is to create support for factual discussion of environmental issues, and to facilitate the use of science and facts in shaping public policy on them.
Beth Markley – Beth Is a fundraising and communications consultant, and a freelance writer. She has enjoyed working with local nonprofit organizations for more than 18 years. She serves on Boise Community Radio’s fundraising committee, and is a member of several nonprofit boards and the Boise Rotary. A native of Boise, she knows very little about the local music scene, but is a news radio junkie. Beth is the host of el.e.men’tal Idaho.
Pat Barclay – Pat has been the executive director of ICIE for almost 17 years. Prior to that she served a presidential appointment to the United States Department of Agriculture and as a site director for Congressman Larry E. Craig. Pat provides support for el.e.men’tal Idaho through her substantial legislative, industry and agency contacts.
Mike Markley – Mike is an award-winning writer, project manager and staff manager who has worked in professional and technical communication for over 18 years. He currently directs teams of technical writers across the country for a national company and teaches technical writing at Boise State University. A self described audiophile, Mike selects the music and provides technical assistance for el.e.men’tal Idaho
