5/10/17 – Water and Climate Change in Southern Idaho

Water is profoundly important to Southern Idaho’s economy and way of life. Climate change is altering temperatures and circulation patterns in the atmosphere, changing both how much precipitation is falling and whether it falls as snow or rain. Most of the effects can be summarized as more severe drought, more flooding, and altered timing. Dr. Charles Luce, research hydrologist with the US Forest Service joined us for this program to discuss the basics of climate change and how it is affecting Idaho’s climate.
