9/14/16 – A new Groundwater Management Area

The Idaho Department of Water Resources held public meetings this summer to gather public comment on a possible East Snake Plain Aquifer groundwater management area, a topic which has generated a considerable amount of concern among groundwater users and others. On this episode of Elemental Idaho is Lynn Tominaga of the Idaho Groundwater Appropriators explains some of the issues about what the IDWR is proposing and the issues regarding a groundwater management area.

You can listen to earlier episodes about the ESPA here and a little about the history of the historic settlement agreement with Through the Waters author Randy Stapilus here.
