9/9/15 – The BLM Sage Grouse Draft Alternative (rebroadcast)

Once seen in great numbers across the West, Greater Sage-Grouse have declined in number over the past century because of the loss of sagebrush habitats essential for their survival. Recent fires in Idaho and across the northwest have further degraded existing habitat.  The BLM, working jointly with the USFS, prepared a draft Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) to address the effects of implementing proposed Greater Sage-Grouse conservation measures on the lands they manage. On this program, rebroadcast from late 2013, I talk with BLM representatives about the plan and the work of Governor Otter’s Sage Grouse Task Force to date.

This episode was rebroadcast from an earlier program, which you can hear here.
