In May, The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality began a statewide survey to estimate fish consumption rates among Idaho residents. Information from the survey will be used to tailor water quality criteria to protect human health in Idaho. On this episode of Elemental Idaho, rebroadcast from June, we talked about the potential outcomes for the survey and what changes to current water quality standards might mean in Idaho. Don Essig from Idaho DEQ, Scott Hauser from the Upper Snake River Tribes Foundation and HDR’s Tom Dupuis will be our guests.
