12/17 – Collaborating for Cutthroat

The Idaho Conservation League, Trout Unlimited, JR Simplot Company, Monsanto and Agrium/Nu-West Industries have formed a partnership to improve the health of the upper Blackfoot River, called the Upper Blackfoot River Initiative for Conservation (UBRIC).  UBRIC focuses on voluntary conservation projects to improve water quality and fish habitat. A key driver for this work is the desire to improve the health of the Blackfoot River’s population of Yellowstone cutthroat trout.

Alan Mattheson, a facilitator that representing the mining interests of this group and Justin Hayes from the Idaho Conservation League tell us about collaboration, their projects and work with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
