12/10 – The Idaho LINE Commission and the Future of Nuclear Energy in Idaho

This week, the Idaho Leadership in Nuclear Energy Commission released its progress report for public comment. The Commission was formed in February and charged with making recommendations to the Governor on policies and actions to support an enhance the long-term viability and mission relevance of the Idaho National Laboratory and the broader nuclear industry in Idaho. On Monday, Commission Chair Jeff Sayer will talk about the future of the INL and nuclear energy technology research in Idaho, the prospect of the federal government honoring its 1995 agreement remove waste from the Southeastern Idaho site, and recommendations by the committee that are now up for public comment.
