10/1 – A Pesky Visitor

The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is currently dealing with a serious delimiting survey for an invasive insect, the Japanese Beetle, infesting Boise. This scarab beetle could have multi million dollar negative impacts on the Idaho nursery industry as well as becoming a very destructive and expensive pest of lawns and turf grass.Jodie Ellis, is the Program Manager and Staff Entomologist with ISDA will talk about the origins of this threat and what’s being done about it.
